An interactive installation about surveillance and spectacle. It uses public security-camera footage from cities around the world, found online. When people enter the space and move, the videos are set off and visitors find themselves inserted into the feeds, on a trip around the world in which each location is placed at its real coordinates.
The visitor is observer and observed at once. The piece looks at how telematic communication shrinks the distance between cities while making their absence felt, and asks whether the gaze of others is a prison, and whether a society of watching leaves any free space.
